Vilches defeated Oscar Ferreyra in heads-up play. Ferreyra entered the final table as the chip leader and earned a $56,675 payout for his runner-up performance. On the final hand, Vilches’ Diamond JDiamond 7 beat Ferreyra’s Diamond ASpade 6, according to reports from our friends at Codigo Poker.

Luiz Montagna was the first player to bust on the day, and it was Vilches who sent him to the rail in eighth place. After that, José Latorraca was ousted by Ferreyra in seventh place. Martín Piñeiro was next out in sixth place, then Manzano busted in fifth. Manzano was eliminated by Vilches to give Vilches his second elimination of the final table.

Ferreyra busted Affif Prado in fourth place and took a big chip lead into three-handed play. His 5.25 million was atop the 2.535 million for Vilches and 1.96 million for Daniel Klachuk. Vilches closed the gap when he knocked Klachuk in third place, and it was his 4.48 million against Ferreyra’s 5.33 million to start heads-up play.

Ferreyra doubled up Vilches in a hand that gave Vilches a commanding lead. On the Club 7Club 5Heart 4Club 8 board, Ferreyra put Vilches all in for his last 3.03 million in chips, according to Codigo Poker. Vilches called with the Spade 5Heart 5 for trip fives and was in great position to double against the Diamond KSpade Q for Ferreyra. The river was the Heart J and Vilches doubled. Ferreyra was left with 1.25 million and Vilches quickly sealed the deal from there.
