Hot off the press, the World Poker Tour is excited to announce it will now be filming the L.A. Poker Classic Rockstar Energy High Roller!

The two-day tournament will see some of the game’s biggest players compete at Commerce Casino starting Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 3 p.m. local time. In addition to the lion’s share of the prize pool, the winner will receive a luxurious Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Titanium.

Registration and reentry will remain open until approximately 7:30 p.m. and Day 1 will see the tournament play down to six players. The final six will return to action on Wednesday, February 28, to play for the title under the bright lights and cameras of the World Poker Tour televised stage.

The LAPC Rockstar Energy High Roller has an official buy-in of $25,500, broken down as $25,000 plus $500, but players who register before the tournament’s start time of 3 p.m. will receive their entry rake free.

The tournament will be played with the Action Clock, provided by Protection Poker, throughout its duration. Players in the LAPC Rockstar Energy High Roller will begin with 100,000 in tournament chips and tables will be eight-handed. The event will implement the use of a big blind ante, with the first level listed as 200-400 with an ante of 400. Levels will last 30 minutes on Day 1. At the final table, levels will increase to 60 minutes in length.

Furthermore, Commerce Casino is adding a special $10,000 no-limit hold’em turbo tournament. This event takes place Wednesday, February 26, starting at 5 p.m. and will be a one-day event.

The World Poker Tour is currently filming its 16th season, scheduled to premiere Sunday, April 29, 2018, on FOX Sports Regional Networks.
