When World Poker Tour rolls into Venice on February 6, 2012, for WPT Venice Grand Prix, not only will the spectacular Carnival of Venice be getting underway, but WPT will also bring a show of their own, which includes the beautiful Royal Flush Girls. The four Royal Flush Girls who will be in Venice for the WPT Venice Grand Prix are the same friendly faces that players have seen at events around the US and the rest of the world.
From the moment Ivy, Angelique, Danielle and Tugba stand alongside Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten for the famous “Shuffle Up and Deal” until they present the money at the WPT final table for the heads-up match, the Royal Flush Girls will be hanging out with the players at the start of each day and during the breaks, attending players’ welcome parties and casino events, interacting with fans and interviewing players throughout the tournament, while also enjoying the city of Venice itself, much like the players who will be playing in the tournament.
“I am really excited to learn about the Venetian culture and meet the people,” said Ivy when asked what she was looking forward to while visiting Venice for the first time. “I would also like to experience what Venice is famous for, like St. Mark’s Square, riding in a gondola while being serenaded and watching the glass blowing on Murano Island. I love architecture and would love to see museums and churches like the Accademia Gallery and St Mark’s Basilica. I would love to ride the water buses while eating a gelato, but mainly I just want to wander around the city and see what kind of adventure and trouble the girls and I can get into!”
Angelique will also be visiting Venice for the first time and had this to say about her expectations, “Well, ever since I saw the movie The Tourist, I have been dying to visit Venice. I’d like to see the places where the movie was filmed, maybe fight a couple of bad guys in the river, just like Angelina Jolie did. Other than that, can’t wait to sightsee, eat food all day and make amazing memories with the rest of the girls.”
Needless to say, the girls are excited to be in Venice with World Poker Tour to make the experience unforgettable for the players who will put €4,950 on the line for the chance to reach the WPT televised final table and be the next name engraved on the WPT Champions Cup.
