While at Bellagio for the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, the Royal Flush Girls took a trip to the Petrossian Bar, located adjacent to the lobby, to get a lesson in mixing cocktails from Bellagio Master Mixologist Matt Myers.

Not a huge fan of titles, Myers humbly prefers to go by “The Booze Guy” or “The Resident Alcoholic,” and his job is to oversee the creation of specialty cocktails for the numerous bars in Bellagio, as well as crafting libations especially for visiting VIPs. Currently, his favorite cocktail to make for guests is called the Asian Aviation – a twist on the classic Aviation that involves a layer of Negori (unflitered sake) foam across the top.

For the Royal Flush Girls, he unveiled a drink created specifically for a VIP having a going-away party at Bellagio that night. Having never met this particular guest, he took what he knew about his personality and mixed together a light, refreshing citrus-based cocktail that was a huge hit with the Girls. When pressed to identify the yet-unnamed beverage, Myers went with the “Wittig Fizz.”

Be sure to check out Myers specialty creations at all of Bellagio’s lounges, restaurants and bars, and if you see the Master Mixologist himself, ask him to whip you up a Wittig Fizz.
