WPT Anchor Marianela Pereyra is excited to head to WPT Venice Grand Prix to finally meet all of her new Italian fans, all who found her thanks to the social media efforts of a single man.
A couple of months ago Marianela logged onto Facebook account and had a friend request from an Italian poker player. Within a few days, she had received a thousand friend requests in Italian from new fans of hers. She wasn’t too sure why until someone wrote her a Facebook message saying that “Flavio,” a famous poker player and commentator, had been talking her up to his 25,000 Facebook fans thanks to her appearance on the poker tv show Poker After Dark, which had just aired in Italy.
Since then Marianela and Flavio Ferrari Zumbini have been exchanging messages and interacting on Twitter as seen below:

When Marianela finally returns to Venice in just about a week, she will meet up with Flavio for the first time at WPT Venice Grand Prix, as well as meeting all of her other Italian fans. Make sure to be at Casino di Venezia to catch Marianela in action as well as the rest of the WPT cast and crew.
