WPT Best 1-183-59We talk about it all the time. You’ve probably even seen pictures of it surrounded by piles of cash or being hoisted into the air by one of our tournament winners. But the question is, what exactly is the WPT Champions Cup?

Aside from its role as a symbol of achievement, the Cup serves as a perpetual record of every champion who has ever won a WPT Main Event over the past 11 seasons.

OK, we hear you saying, but what about the Cup itself?

Designed and manufactured by Cristaux International, this unique trophy is made from cast copper that’s then electroplated in shiny nickel to give it a brilliant, silvery surface. Mounted on a custom walnut base, the finished product  stands nearly three feet tall and weighs in at nearly 30 pounds – providing plenty of room for us to add the names of future champions for years to come.

While the Cup remains in the possession of the WPT, each event winner is awarded a smaller replica engraved with their name, the name of the event they won so they have something to show off to their friends and family at home.

So, what is the WPT Champions Cup?

We like to call it your ticket into the WPT Champions Club – one of the most impressive and exclusive groups in all of poker.
