888poker WPTDeepStacks Malta will take place at Casino Malta by Olympic from April 8-14, with the WPTDeepStacks Main Event taking place April 11-14. The Main Event has a €1,000 buy-in and carries a guarantee of €200,000. 888poker will be hosting satellites for the event on 888poker.com to give everyone the opportunity to join us on this sun clad island for seven days of poker action.

Situated in Saint Julian’s, Casino Malta by Olympic plays host to the WPTDeepStacks in April, and there is plenty to do in the area with your time away from the tables. Check out what’s on offer in Malta!

Spinola Bay – Located just a 10-minute walk from the casino, the bay offers a wide variety of ways to spend your downtime. Take in the historic parish church, browse through the selection of shops for those important gifts for friends and family, and try the local cuisine at one of the restaurants overlooking the sea.

And when the sun sets, and it’s time to relax, even more, there is plenty of spots to take an evening drink or have a walk around the area to take in the sights and sounds such as the architecture and boats on the bay.

Paceville – If you are looking for more of an energetic evening’s entertainment than the popular Paceville area is a place you will want to head to. Famous for being the largest area of bars and nightclubs in Malta, Paceville will keep you entertained until the early hours of the morning.

St John’s Co-Cathedral – Built over 420 years ago and located in Valletta, about a 20-minute drive from Casino Malta, St John’s Co-Cathedral boosts both architecture and art. The former conventional church is still a place of worship to this day, as well as playing host to a variety of cultural events. The church was dedicated to St John the Baptist and currently holds the most significant and only signed masterpiece by 17th-century Italian painter Caravaggio.

St. George’s Bay – walk along the sandy beach of St. George’s Bay located in Paceville. The beach has become extremely popular over the past 15 years due to its central location in St.Julians and having gone through a series of redevelopments. So if you are looking for a shopping break during the day, this is the perfect place to catch a few rays while you rest your feet.

San Anton Gardens – Just 20 minutes inland is the town of Attard, home to the San Anton Gardens which surrounds the beautiful Presidential Palace, home to the Maltese President. The gardens provide a place to relax and take in the array of flowers, plants, and fountains.

Scuba Diving – Gaze upon Malta’s beautiful underwater scenery. A wide selection of qualified scuba diving operations run in St.Julian’s and the surrounding areas with prices starting from around €52 which includes full equipment hire.

Tours and Excursions – If you would like to be a part of the many organized tours and excursions on offer in Malta then you will have the option to take part in walking tours as well as guided tours of the whole island.
