World Poker Tour® Announces Season XVIII WPT® Asia Swing

Los Angeles, CA (August 13, 2019) The World Poker Tour® returns to Asia this September for three vibrant events taking place in Japan, Korea, and Vietnam as part of the WPT® Asia Swing. The WPT Asia Swing features prizes awarded to the top-three points leaders across nine eligible events.  A total of three events each at WPT Vietnam, WPT Japan, and WPT Korea will award points.

The first-place prize of the WPT Asia Swing is the WPT India High Roller package. The package includes an entry into the INR 100,000 buy-in (~$1,400) WPT India High Roller event, three nights of complimentary accommodation, along with airport and boat transfers. The top three points winners of the WPT Asia Swing leaderboard will also receive an additional $500 cash prize which can be redeemed at the WPT India festival. Additionally, all stops are eligible to win points for the Season XVIII WPT Asia-Pacific Player of the Year leaderboard. The first-place prize winner in the WPT Asia-Pacific Player of the Year race will receive a $10,000 WPT Passport that is eligible to be used in any Season XIX global WPT event. The second and third place winners of the season-long race will receive a $3,500 WPT Passport and $1,500 WPT Passport, respectively.

The WPT Vietnam portion of the WPT Asia Swing starts at Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh City on September 3. The three events eligible for WPT Asia Swing points at WPT Vietnam are the VND 4 billion guaranteed WPT Vietnam Kickoff event on September 3, the VND 15 billion guaranteed WPT Vietnam Main Event on September 6, and the WPT Pro Poker Club SuperStack Classic on September 10. The WPT Asia Swing next moves to Hotel Gajoen Tokyo for WPT Japan over three days ranging from September 14 to 16 with numerous pre-championship Main Event Day 1’s throughout Japan from August 31 to September 8. The WPT Japan Main Event, WPT300, and WPT Japan Megastack events are all eligible for WPT Asia Swing points. The full WPT Japan schedule can be found here.

WPT Korea concludes the WPT Asia Swing at Paradise City in Incheon, South Korea from September 17-23. Players can earn WPT Asia Swing points at WPT Korea in the WPT Warm Up on September 18, the KRW 250 million guaranteed WPT Korea Main Event on September 20, and the WPT 500K Finale on September 23.
