Los Angeles, CA (August 23, 2019) – World Poker Tour® today announced the Season XVIII schedule of events taking place all around Europe and Canada in partnership with partypoker LIVE and 888poker. The partnership with partypoker LIVE also marks the return of festivals that include multiple WPT®-branded offerings at a single venue.
WPT UK Festival powered by partypoker LIVE September 22-October 6:
WPT UK Main Event ($3,300) October 2-6: WPT UK is back to Dusk Till Dawn Casino, and will be the first WPT Main Tour event in Europe this season, boasting a guarantee of $1.5 million. Based in Nottingham, Dusk Till Dawn is known as the home of British poker. As a new feature of the WPT Main Tour festivals this season, partypoker LIVE will give players the possibility of playing online on Days 1 and 2, while playing live at the venue on Day 3. This new feature will allow players to begin tournaments in the comfort of their own home until the field is in the money and all players combine to play live. Online flights for WPT UK start on September 22 on partypoker.
WPTDeepStacks UK ($1,500) October 3-6: The WPTDeepStacks UK event offers three Day 1s and a guarantee of $500,000. The winner will also get a €2,000 package for the WPTDS European Championship at the end of the season in Casino Barriere de Deauville in April 2020.
WPT Montreal Festival powered by partypoker LIVE October 20- November 3:
WPT500 Montreal (CAD $550) October 20-29: The second WPT500 in Season XVIII will be in Montreal, Quebec. The tournament has three online Day 1 flights on partypoker and six Day 1s at Playground Poker Club, to give everyone a chance to claim a share of the CAD $1 million guarantee.
WPT Montreal (CAD $3,300) October 28- November 3: The second WPT Main Tour stop with partypoker LIVE features a CAD $3 million guarantee. Online Day 1 flights are available on October 20 and 27 on partypoker.
WPTDS Montreal (CAD $1,650) October 31- November 3: With five Day 1s and a CAD $1 million guarantee, the last WPT tournament of the festival promises to close the festival with a bang.
WPTDeepStacks Brussels (€1,200) November 14-17:
The Grand Casino Brussels VIAGE will host two WPTDeepStacks events in Season XVIII. The festival will take place starting on November 11 and will close on November 17 with both the WPTDS Main Event and the High Roller (€2,200) final tables.
WPTDeepStacks Berlin (€1,200) January 10-13:
The New Year will start again with WPTDeepStacks Berlin at Spielbank, Berlin. Berlin is known to be one of the most vibrant cities in Europe with amazing nightlife and plenty of historical sightseeing steps away from the casino. The last edition of WPTDS Berlin had a record-breaking field of 645 entries, and this stop will be one to watch as players try to boost their POY standings.
WPT Russia Festival powered by partypoker LIVE January 20-26:
WPT Russia (₽198,000 [~$3,000]) January 20-26: World Poker Tour returns to Sochi for the first WPT Main Tour Europe event in 2020, which boasts a guarantee of ₽90 million (app. $1.5 million). The first WPT Russia event in Season XVII attracted a field size of 503 entries.
WPTDeepStacks Russia (₽99,000 [~$1,500]) January 23-26: The festival will also include a WPTDeepStacks event with a ₽30 million (~$500,000) guarantee.
WPTDeepStacks Brussels (€1,200) January 31- February 3:
This will be the second stop of the WPTDeepStacks Tour in the Belgian capital for Season XVIII. Known as the Capital of Europe, Brussels always entertain its players with pedestrian streets offering drinks and waffles at any time of day or night. As one of the most centric locations in Europe, Brussels always appeals to its Dutch, French, and English neighbors.
WPT Germany Festival powered by partypoker LIVE February 17-23:
WPT Germany (€3,300) February 17-23: World Poker Tour will return to King’s Resort at the border between Germany and the Czech Republic to offer a full festival that includes a WPT Main Tour stop.
WPTDeepStacks Germany (€1,500) February 20-23: WPT and partypoker LIVE is offering players both WPT-branded tournaments at King’s Resorts, also known as the European Las Vegas.
WPT Barcelona Festival powered by partypoker LIVE
The World Poker Tour and partypoker LIVE return to Casino Barcelona for the Season XVIII WPT Barcelona festival this March. The festival will include WPT500, WPTDeepStacks, and WPT Main Tour offerings. Full details regarding the WPT Barcelona festival will be announced at a later date.
WPTDeepStacks European Championship Deauville (€1,500) April 9-12:
The WPTDeepStacks season will close at the European Championship event at Casino Barriere Deauville, giving players a final opportunity to collect points before the WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year race ends and rewards a new winner on the last day of the WPTDS Main Event.
