Los Angeles, CA (November 12, 2019) The World Poker Tour® heads to Canada this February for the Season XVIII WPT® Fallsview Poker Classic at Fallsview Casino Resort. This event features a CAD $5,000 buy-in and will take place from February 21-23, 2020. In Season XVII, Demo Kiriopoulos defeated a record-setting WPT Fallsview Poker Classic field of 602 entries to win CAD $517,424 (USD $$382,894).
The WPT Fallsview Poker Classic headlines an entire festival schedule that will take place in the Fallsview Grand Hall from February 16-24 with four major events on the calendar. Tournaments on the schedule include a CAD $1,100 buy-in event on February 16, a CAD $2,500 buy-in event on February 19, and a CAD $1,500 Turbo Bounty event on February 22. The WPT and Fallsview Casino Resort have a partnership that dates back to Season V and now expands into the new decade.
Since the premiere of the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic in Season XII, participation in the event continues to grow each season. Notable champions crowned at Fallsview include four-time WPT Champions Club member Darren Elias in Season XV, three-time WPT Champions Club member and Season XIII WPT Player of the Year Anthony Zinno, and the highly-decorated Mike Leah in Season XVI.
