Season 12 Features 37 Episodes from Around the World with Poker’s Top Pros, Amateurs, and WPT Cast Members Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten, Tony Dunst, Matt Savage, and New Anchor, Lynn Gilmartin
World Poker Tour’s 12th season of highly rated, original poker programming begins airing all new episodes on FOX Sports Networks beginning Sunday, February 9.
As the top-rated program on FSN, World Poker Tour will bring viewers 37 unique episodes of original programming filled with exciting poker action, insightful commentary, and behind-the-scenes access to some of the World’s most prestigious casinos and resorts. After their Sunday night premiere, each new episode of the World Poker Tour will be re-aired throughout the week on both FSN and FS2, providing viewers with multiple chances to catch any of the action they may have missed.
Sponsored by ClubWPT.com, Season 12 will feature iconic events such as the WPT Legends of Poker, the WPT Borgata Poker Open, the WPT LA Poker Classic, and the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star alongside new events like WPT Caribbean and WPT Montreal. The season will end with the partypoker WPT World Championship which, for the first time, will be played at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
“This season, in response to viewer demand, we’re producing the most original episodes of World Poker Tour programming in our 12-year history,” said WPT President, Adam Pliska. “We’re proud that we’ve been able to accomplish this goal while also maintaining our high production standards and welcoming the talented Lynn Gilmartin to the WPT anchor’s chair where she will help lead the show in exciting new directions in future seasons.”
Gilmartin, who makes her debut at the WPT Legends of Poker, will be joined by commentators Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten who will be calling the action for the 12th consecutive year, and by Raw Deal Analyst Tony Dunst, who will again provide viewers with his unique and unvarnished opinions about the players and the plays that make each WPT final table special. Also returning for Season 12 are sideline reporter Matt Savage and the WPT Royal Flush Girls, along with a new class of players deemed as World Poker Tour’s Ones to Watch.
“In Season 12, we will incorporate more hands of dramatic final table action and place more focus on the compelling stories of the players,” said Mandy Glogow, WPT Supervising Producer. “As the poker world continues to evolve, the WPT television show will continue to evolve along with it.”
New episodes of World Poker Tour will air Sundays at 8pm and 11pm local time on FOX Sports Networks and its affiliate networks in certain markets*. WPT Season 12 re-airs every Wednesday at 11pm. Check local listings for details.
