Los Angeles, CA (November 5, 2020) – The World Poker Tour® and partypoker are partnering once again for a WPT® Main Tour event when WPT Montreal Online takes place on partypoker. The $2 million guaranteed event features a $3,200 buy-in and will take place with two Day 1 flights on January 10 and 17, 2021.
The event is taking place online in lieu of the annually scheduled WPT Montreal event at Playground in Kahnawake, QC. Since Season XI, the WPT has held a stronghold in Montreal with many illustrious champions crowned including former WPT Commentator Mike Sexton, Ema Zajmovic; the first woman to win an open WPT event, and Seth Davies.
WPT Montreal Online marks the seventh WPT Champion to be crowned on partypoker in Season XVIII in what promises to be another large field fitting for WPT Montreal’s historic standing on the World Poker Tour.
Qualifiers for the event start at $.01 and are running now on partypoker. The winner of WPT Montreal Online will receive a seat in the WPT Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal and their name on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.
Players can expect similar elements to the successful WPT Online Series and WPT World Online Championships on partypoker including: real names, limited re-entries, and numerous opportunities to qualify.
