Renowned tournament director Matt Savage has signed a new agreement with World Poker Tour that will see Savage Tournaments serve as WPT’s exclusive tournament consultant and extend his role as the WPT’s Executive Tour Director through 2014.
A professional tournament director with more than 15 years of experience, Savage is a founding member of the Tournament Directors Association (TDA) whose rules are regarded as the standard for all major poker tournaments around the world. Serving as WPT’s Executive Tour Director since 2010, Savage has been instrumental in strengthening World Poker Tour’s position as poker’s premier tournament series and, through his personal company Savage Tournaments, will continue to provide the tour with exclusive consulting services for all WPT Regional, National, and Main Tour events.

World Poker Tour’s 12th season begins August 16, 2013 with the bwin WPT Cyprus tournament held at the Merit Crystal Cove Casino. The first televised event of Season XII is the WPT Legends of Poker beginning August 29, 2013 at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, CA, and airing on FOX Sports Network in 2014.
