On March 11, 2012, World Poker Tour invited guests to the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills to celebrate the launch of WPT Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to utilizing WPT’s unmatched platform to influence positive change on a global scale. Hundreds of guests turned out in support of the new philanthropic venture for an exclusive night of entertainment.

World-renowned chef José Andrés, who recently won the coveted James Beard Outstanding Chef Award for 2011, provided a completely custom menu full of delectable dishes. Andrés has been praised internationally for his unique and eccentric tapas, which marry regional culinary traditions with inspiring creativity.

Served throughout the night were a range of extraordinary dishes dreamed up by Chef Andrés. Among them was Foie Gras wrapped in Cotton Candy, Caviar in Cones, Philly Cheesesteak (Wagyu beef on top of “Air Bread” — a crisp and tin crust around a pocket of air — which is filled with melted cheese), Caprese (shaved tomato with liquefied mozzarella inserted via plastic syringe) and a huge array delicious deserts.
