Following the completion of the multiple starting flights in the first-ever World Poker Tour Japan Main Event, 67 survivors converged on the fabulous Bane Bagus venue for the commencement of Day 2. 

The importance of Japan to the World Poker Tour could not have been more evident on this day, as both Ourgame CEO Frank Ng and WPT CEO Adam Pliska were present for the start to kick things off.

The Japan Poker Union Corporation dressed up the venue superbly and had a very professional team on hand today to run the WPT Japan Main Event in addition to two side events. 

After nine hours of play, the field was whittled down to 14 players. The chip leader was Eiji Kimura with a stack of 1.767 million, and Kimura held more than double any other player.

The top nine finishers will be awarded will special WPT prizes based on finishing position. All prizes are in the form of WPT passports, allowing players to travel the world to play on the World Poker Tour. The winner will take home a $10,000 WPT Multi-Passport, and the full list prizes is listed below.

1st: $10,000 WPT Multi-Passport
2nd: $4,000 WPT Multi-Passport
3rd: $2,000 WPT Multi-Passport
4th: $2,000 WPT Multi-Passport
5th: $1,500 WPT Multi-Passport
6th: $1,500 WPT Multi-Passport
7th: $1,000 WPT Multi-Passport
8th: $1,000 WPT Multi-Passport
9th: $1,000 WPT Multi-Passport

Running alongside the WPT Japan Main Event were the WPT200 Side Event and the WPT Japan Nightly Turbo. The WPT200 Side Event attracted 64 players, whereas the WPT Japan Nightly Turbo had just started as play completed in the Main Event.
