Some of the world’s best women poker players will be sitting down for a very special event at the Bicycle Casino on September 5 when the World Poker Tour cameras roll at the WPT Foundation Ladies’ Night Invitational.

Featuring five invited players and one player who will win her way to the televised final table through a live qualifier at the Bike on September 1, the WPT Foundation Ladies’ Night Invitational guarantees to raise at least $20,000 which will be divided across six, worthy charities, including the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, which will be represented by poker pro and philanthropist, Liz Lieu.

The foundation, whose motto is Act with Love for a Future Without Breast Cancer is dedicated to identifying the cause of breast cancer and working toward finding a cure for the disease, which will affect more than 230,000 women in the U.S. in 2013, according to the American Cancer Society.

“We’re honored and delighted that Liz Lieu has chosen the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation to be the beneficiary of her tournament winnings,” said Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation Director of Communication, Shirley Horn. “We’re grateful for the support of Ms. Lieu, the WPT, and the greater poker community in bringing us closer to creating a future without breast cancer.”
