It was yet another day on the virtual felts that was drenched in overlays. So much so that even the guarantee-smashing inaugural WPT Online India (WPTOI) series saw its big-ticket tourneys failing to meet their advertised guarantees.

Here is a recap of the Monday tournaments!

The fifth day of the WPT Online India was headlined by the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT Monday Feature that offered the most massive prize pool guarantee of the day. The tourney ran for more than six hours and collected 444 entries – falling ₹79,200 short of its listed guarantee to become the series’ first WPT Trophy event to register an overlay.

Gagandeep ‘gaganhyd’ Singh conquered the title and top prize of ₹3.67 Lakhs, while Rachit ‘baba_ramdev’ Soni finished runner-up for ₹2.17 Lakhs. Besides taking down the WPT Monday Feature, Gangandeep also cashed the WPT Monster Turbo (14th for ₹11,375), taking his overall Monday score to ₹3.78 Lakhs. Singh currently has lifetime online earnings of ₹77.58 Lakhs.

A heads-up chop witnessed Sanjay ‘Floppednuts’ Kumar rake in ₹1.49 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Labroo is presently sitting atop ₹5.3 Crores in online earnings, of which ₹2.01 Crores he has earned this year.
