Los Angeles, CA (August 29, 2018) – World Poker Tour® has today announced a four-year partnership with partypoker LIVE aimed to provide poker players across the globe with more choice of where to play. Together, the WPT® and partypoker LIVE will hold up to seven events across Canada and Europe, with each having a prize pool guarantee up to €3 million.
The first event as part of this new WPT and partypoker LIVE relationship will take place at Playground Poker Club in Montreal. Starting late October 2018, the upcoming festival will be the first of its kind in the history of the World Poker Tour, when WPT500™, WPTDeepStacks™, and WPT Main Tour events come together for an all-encompassing WPT series for players of all levels. Additional events are scheduled to take place in Sochi, Russia, in February 2019 and at Dusk Till Dawn in the United Kingdom in April 2019. More events will be announced soon.
With the partnership, players will have the opportunity to qualify for these events online at partypoker for as little as $0.01. For each WPT Main Tour event held in partnership with partypoker LIVE, a minimum of 300 seats will be up for grabs through qualifying promotions from partypoker.
Live streams of these new events will be available from the WPT and partypoker LIVE, through the My partypoker LIVE app.
