Since winning the award for Mid-Major Tournament Circuit of the Year at the 4th Annual American Poker Awards, WPTDeepStacks has been going strong. The tour is currently holding main events in Jacksonville, Florida, and Brussels, Belgium, and there is another WPTDeepStacks main event coming up soon. With a start date of Friday, March 16, the WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg Main Event hits Emperors Palace in South Africa for a R11,000 buy-in (approx. $950) tournament.

Emperors Palace has always been a player favorite for WPT events, with the last trip to the venue attracting a field of 456 entries in the most recent WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg Main Event. Daniel Habib won the event and earned R$1 million in prize money.

The WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg Main Event is a three-day tournament with unlimited reentry allowed until the end of the third level of Day 2. Players in the WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg Main Event will begin with 30,000 in tournament chips.
