WPTDeepStacks is returning to Johannesburg, South Africa, in March and an electric schedule of events is on tap at Emperors Palace. The WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg series runs March 7-18, 2018.
Anchoring the 10-event WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg schedule is the R11,000 buy-in (approx. $950) Main Event, starting on Friday, March 16, and wrapping up on Sunday, March 18. This three-day tournament allows for unlimited reentry, with the registration period ending the third level of Day 2. Players in the WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg Main Event will begin with 30,000 in tournament chips.
The last time WPTDeepStacks was in Johannesburg, a record-setting turnout saw 456 entries in the WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg Main Event. Daniel Habib took the title and scored R$1 million.
Kicking off the WPTDeepStacks Johannesburg festival in a big way is the R100,000 buy-in (approx. $8,600) Super High Roller. This three-day tournament allows for late registration until the second level of Day 2, but the event comes with a limited field size of 24 players.
