Brad Lawn is the newest WPT Foundation Champion!

After a grueling final table in the WPT Foundation Pala Poker Open, it was Lawn who takes home the title, along with $27,305! Finishing second was Tim Anders, who managed to rebuild after being crippled in an earlier hand that left him with just 13 big blinds. Coming into the final table, Lawn was second in chips, but managed to grind down to four-handed play where he was the shortest of the four with just 10 big blinds. After a few fortunate double ups, Lawn built back up to the biggest stack and never looked back.

This is Lawn’s biggest career cash — and first title — the San Diego native told us. He looks forward to investing his winnings into a new boat.

Here is a look at the final table results:

1. Brad Lawn – $27,305
2. Tim Anders – $19,118
3. Sam Korn – $12,289
4. Reynaldo Camanyang – $9,108
5. David Sheunemann – $6,828
6. Shaun Davis – $5,461
7. Cliff Lindroth – $4,549
8.  Heath Klock – $3,637
9. John Sarkistan – $2,735

Pala Casino Spa & Resort will donate $100 from every entry to the Special Olympics Southern California, and combined with the donations from the charity auction on Thursday, nearly $20,000 will be awarded to SOSC to enrich the lives of more than 19,625 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their communities in Southern California through sports, education, and athlete health.
