On Sunday, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas (pictured) captured his second WPTDeepStacks title in five months. Angelou-Konstas finished atop the 315-entry field in the WPTDeepStacks Brussels €1,200 Main Event and took home €75,000 in first-place prize money, including a €2,000 package to the season-ending WPTDeepStacks event in Europe.

It was the second time Angelou-Konstas was hoisting the trophy in the winner’s circle of a WPTDeepStacks event. In October 2017, just under five months ago, Angelou-Konstas won the WPTDeepStacks Netherlands €1,100 Main Event for €56,805. In that tournament, Angelou-Konstas defeated a field of 251 entries.
Angelou-Konstas now boasts a career of more than $830,000 in live tournament earnings. With the victory, Angelou-Konstas became the second player in WPTDeepStacks history to win two WPTDeepStacks titles. The other player that has achieved that feat is Rex Clinkscales.
Angelou-Konstas entered the final table with the chip lead, but it was Roland Rozel who was doing all of the damage early. Rozel knocked out the first three opponents, but then he ran into Angelou-Konstas to bust in sixth place. That allowed Angelou-Konstas to pad his lead and work his way to heads-up play against Martin Kaya. When heads-up play began, Angelou-Konstas had 5.75 million in chips to Kaya’s 3.7 million.
Angelou-Konstas quickly extended his lead as he put the pressure on Kaya. Eventually, Kaya was down to under 1 million in chips and moved all in for 720,000 with the 
. Angelou-Konstas made the call with the 
and the board ran out 
to give Angelou-Konstas the win.
Kaya earned €52,050 for his runner-up finish.
