World Poker Tour’s cameras will roll for the first time in Season XII when WPT Legends of Poker kicks off at LA’s Bicycle Casino on August 29.
Always one of the most popular stops on tour, this year’s tournament will again be filled with stars including WPT Champions Club members Andy Frankenberger, Scott Clements, Sean Jazayeri, Lee Markholt, Phil Laak, and Season XI WPT Player of the Year, Matt Salsberg.
The stars will also shine at the Bike on Sunday, August 25 when the WPT Foundation presents the Frank Mariani & Jerry Buss No-Limit Hold ‘Em Poker Classic benefitting the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation. Starting at 4pm, this $365 buy-in event will draw the biggest names in poker, sports, and entertainment to the Bike for a fun-filled afternoon of poker for a great cause.
Charity is the name of the game again on September 5 when five of the game’s top women players – and one qualifier from the $290 buy-in US Ladies Poker Championship – take their seats at the WPT Foundation Ladies’ Night Invitational. Featuring Liz Lieu, Vanessa Rousso, Jessica Dawley, Lily Kiletto, and Kimberly Lansing, this special tournament will raise money for six worthy women’s charities and be recorded for broadcast on FOX Sports Network in early 2014.
