Congratulations to Andrew Geffen of Denver, Colorado who claimed more than $60,000 in prize money and the championship title at the WPT Regional Colorado Poker Showdown at the Isle Casino Hotel in Blackhawk, Colorado.

Geffen, a Denver-area businessman who has been playing poker since he was just 15, methodically worked his way through the 162-entrant field to reach the tournament’s dramatic final table, which featured more than a few controversial hands and short tempers. Geffen kept his calm through it all, however, and was sitting comfortably in second place when the tournament became four-handed. From there, it took just over half an hour for the tournament to get heads up with Geffen facing off against fellow Denver resident Fraciois Safieddine for the title.

In keeping with evening’s dramatic nature, Geffen claimed victory when his Ah 2h out-flopped Safieddine’s As 3c on the tournament’s final hand.
