How did it feel to win a WPT seat online?
The experience of winning the WPT seat on ClubWPT.com was absolutely amazing. I hate to admit it, but I was alone in my apartment and ran around the place screaming with excitement. My upstairs neighbors probably thought I was in trouble.
What did you think of the Bicycle Casino?
The Bicycle Casino was like nothing I had ever seen. We were both in awe of the large room. We have some poker rooms back here in Wisconsin but they are 1/16th of the size of the Bicycle Casino.
Why did you brother decide to join you on this trip?
My brother and I have always wanted the chance to play in a big event like this, but we have just never had the money or the time to do so. We’ve been playing poker for a long time and I have learned most of what I know from him, but I wouldn’t say all! I probably should have learned more considering he placed 46th and won about $8,500!
Who did you hang out with during the tournament?
On Day One, my brother and I ate with Tony Dunst during the dinner break. We found out that he was from Wisconsin too, which was pretty cool. I met all the Royal Flush Girls and did a TV interview with them. I also played Xbox Kinect with one of the Royal Flush Girls and will admit that she beat me a couple of times!
What was it like being interview on camera by WPT?
Being interviewed by WPT was really exciting. I have never been interviewed for anything so it was definitely a fun experience. Surprisingly, I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I’d be. I must be a natural for the camera or something!
Will you be trying to win another seat on ClubWPT?
Of course! I am still a VIP Member on ClubWPT.com but unfortunately I haven’t had too much time to play because of school starting up again. I’m in my last year of college so I guess graduating is a little more important than playing at the moment. However, I do try to fit a few games in here and there.
