WPT Borgata Poker Open Surpasses 1,000 Entries Again; Lovgren Leads Entering Day 2

Day 1B of the WPT Borgata Poker Open drew 697 entrants, bringing the total field size to 989 entries. With an estimated 38 entries on Day 2, the field size has surpassed 1,000 entries.

After eight 75-minute levels on Day 1B, an unofficial 354 players bagged up and will join the 126 Day 1A survivors. Sofia Lovgren  finished with 275,000, good enough to not only take the Day 1B chip lead, but the overall lead heading into Day 2. Lovgren surged late in the last level of the day to separate herself from the rest of the pack with a huge chip lead.

Others who bagged up chips tonight include James Dorrance (224,700), Jeff Hobrecker (191,900), Aaron Kweskin (165,700), Sang Kim (155,000), Glenn Lafaye (138,900), Victor Figueroa (120,000), Champions Club member Will Failla (101,600), WPT Raw Deal Analyst Tony Dunst (78,800), ClubWPT qualifier George Manikas (59,500), and reigning WPT Player of the Year Anthony Zinno (34,800).
