The Gioco Digitale WPT Venice Carnival is set to host back to back events at Casinò di Venezia Ca’ Vendramin. The €990 WPT National, March 6-9 2014 and the €3,000 WPT Main Event, March 10-15 2014 runs straight off the renowned magical Venice Carnival.
The full poker festival is jam packed with 32 events and a range of different sized buy-in’s from €100 – €5000 to suit both the recreational and professional players. Alongside the re-entry National and Main Events, highlights include the €1500 WPT National High Roller, €5000 WPT High Roller, €990 WPT Big Stack, €500 WPT Experience and the €990 WPT 8 Max PLO. Throwing in some poker fun to the mix are the €250 WPT Super Hold’em and the €250 WPT Win The Button.
Rocco Palumbo sailed away on a gondola with last year’s prestigious WPT Venice victory of €140,000 and the all-important encryption of his name on the WPT Champions Cup.
Last year the Casino Ca’ Vendramin, accessed directly to the Grand Canal via gondolas saw poker legend Phil Hellmuth make yet another dramatic entrance across the mystical canal wearing the famous Venice carnival mask. WPT visits the majestic city on the back of the characteristic manifestation, Venice Carnival.
