The fourth WPT Japan is taking place in Tokyo from August 10 to 16. The Main event registration is closed with 726 entries from two Day1 flights. Day1A was hosted at the headquarter of Sammy Inc. who is the lead sponsor of WPT Japan this year, and attracted 391 entries. Day1B was held at the luxurious Hotel Gajoen Tokyo which had 335 entries. 203 players are coming back to Hotel Gajoen to play Day 2.

Once the field plays down to final three tables, WPT Japan will be back to Sammy office to play for the Champion! It will be live-streamed on Japan Poker Union twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/japanpokerunion), which starts at 1:30 PM (Local time) with 30 minutes delay.

Leading 89 Day1B advancers is Aaa Fiss (ぁぁぁふぃす) who has 280,300 chips, followed by Yukki (ゆっきー)who managed bag 260,800 chips. 114 players from Day1a advanced to Day2 with KENGO leading who has 236,000 chips. Situ Junheng who won WPT Japan last year made to Day2 with 101,300 chip.after his second attempt on Day1B.

The side event U-23 attracted by 51 people from the University of Tokyo and Keio University. After 7 hours playing, “Nagino” (なぎの) from the University of Tokyo took home the trophy.
