The WPTDeepStacks continues its European tour in Amsterdam from March 23 to 31, 2019 with the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam festival coming to you from the Holland Casino Amsterdam Center.
For the fifth consecutive year, the World Poker Tour will be heading to the Holland Casino to provide jam-packed poker action for all levels, and this around the WPTDeepStacks takes center stage.
The poker festival features fifteen events and seven satellites allowing buy-ins for as low as €100. The festival will be highlighted by the €1,200 WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam Main Event and €2,200 WPTDS High Roller event.

What to do and where to go?
Amsterdam has many neighborhoods, and each one comes with its take on this historic yet modern city. From an old shipyard transformed into a cultural hotspot to scenic parks located next to atmospheric bars and clubs, Amsterdam has many hidden gems around every corner.
‘Westerpark‘ can’t be beaten for a place to relax by the canal, soak in some sun, and grab a bite to eat. And for the evening, why not check out ‘ Ton Ton Club’ which is an adults arcade! Full of games to play and drinks to be had.
If you are all for a bit of exercise on your rest day, then why not jump on a bike and take a cycle tour of the city. It’s a great way to take in the scenery for time-restricted guests.
Also, we know you poker players are competitive by nature, so why not take the challenge of an ‘Escape Room.’ Put your mental and physical stamina to the test away from the poker table at one of many themed ‘Escape Rooms’ located in Amsterdam. Battle your way through a zombie apocalypse or try to survive Judgement Day! There is a challenge for all!
Amsterdam Culture
The culture in Amsterdam is vast, and realistically you won’t get a chance to appreciate everything the city has to offer in just one trip. But one place that will help get the most out of your day is a visit to ‘Museumplein.’ Translated it means ‘Museum Square’ and is located just a five-minute walk from the casino and is home to the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, and Van Gogh Museums. Also, Rijksmuseum has the Rembrandt exhibition open until June 2019.

You can also see Amsterdam from a different point of view if you’re feeling adventurous. The A’DAM LOOKOUT which features Europe’s highest swing, for a view with a difference has tickets for the starting from €12.50 per adult online and comes with attractions such as the 360° sky deck, ‘ Swing Over The Edge,’ Panorama Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, and an ‘Interactive Amsterdam’ exhibition. All of this is located just 25-30 minutes from the Holland Casino Amsterdam Center via tram, plus you get the opportunity to cross the river via the free ferry service.
Fancy a tipple?
Simply put, Amsterdam has an abundance of cafes, bars, pubs, and clubs. You will find no shortage of nightlife.
For craft beer lovers you have the ‘Oedipus‘ brewery and the ‘Walhalla‘ breweries. Both are located next to each other in the Northern part of Amsterdam and around 20-30 minutes away from the Holland Casino Amsterdam Center via public transport. Their ‘TapRooms’ offer an excellent way for friends to enjoy a beer after a session at the poker tables.
Also, why not take a tour of one of the many breweries or the famous ‘Heineken Experience.’
For the Foodies!
The ‘Foodhallen‘ is just one mile on foot from the Holland Casino Amsterdam Center and is the perfect place to try a range of cuisine. With the rise of the ‘food truck’ phenomenon around the world, this quirky permanent fixture of Amsterdam serves up some real treats!
Now, this may be a little bit out of the way for the players who are interested in a quick dinner break bite, but there is still a variety of food options outside of the Casino. The Leidseplein, where most of the Amsterdam nightlife occurs, has a variety of cafes and restaurants where you can get quick, cheap, and tasty food. One of the many examples is the ‘Pizzeria Il Palio,’ located just a short walk from the casino, where all pizzas are €5.
Also on offer at WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam, is a complimentary dinner service, hosted by Holland Casino Amsterdam Center, on Day 1 for the players who register in the following events: WPTDS Warm Up, WPTDS Progressive Bounty, WPTDS NLH, WPTDS PLO, WPTDS NLH Freezeout, WPTDeepStacks Main Event & WPTDS High Roller. Players will be able to enjoy an excellent dinner prepared by the Holland Casino Center restaurant’s Chef during the dinner break.
